Hi, I'm Ariel.

Welcome to my blog, which is a quick trip inside of my mind. I write about the books I love, the places I’ve been, the music I’ve found, and the thoughts I’ve had along the way. Hope you enjoy!

Playlist Series: "long nights, daydreams"

Playlist Series: "long nights, daydreams"

The first time I heard “What I Miss Most” by Calum Scott, I was immediately reminded of Hyde Park. The song evoked memories of walking across the bridge, looking at the trees, or when I would sit at the Lido Cafe, sipping tea while staring out onto the water. I was hit for a nostalgia for a home I no longer had, but a sense of freedom and happiness that comes with not knowing where life will take you.

Soon after discovering that song, I created this playlist, which quickly became my travel soundtrack for the summer. These are songs meant for sunny days and long drives, for when you’re happy with a tint of something else, but you’re not sure what. I made this when I was longing for both home and adventure, for times when I felt both lonely and loved, sequestered and free. I hope you find some comfort in this, for whatever mood you’re feeling.
